CATCH UP PART II

FRENZY

Ok, so we all boarded the bus from the festival and headed back to the tiny airport here on the Faroe Islands. Last time we played here it took 2 days to actually find weather good enough to land!! This time its all a bit easier.

We board at about 2am, nice flight, lots of chat with Jeremy Camp and band, arrive in Edinburgh at around 4am, get to hotel about 5am, get to sleep about 6am, get up about 9am for soundcheck at 10am!! Booh!

We leave the hotel, blurry eyed and running on automatic pilot....this is normal!

Soundcheck is good, very excited about supporting open doors, an amazing organisation highliting the plight of the persecuted church.

Frenzy is a combination of playing, eating, sleeping, catching up with old friends, playing some more, meetings people at the merch table, watching other bands.....all good. It was a great day all round and I hope we get the chance to do it again in 2010.

Next time will be all about the Luis Palau Mission week and Festival.

THE LAST CRAZY 7 WEEKS

Greetings blog readers : )

It's been a while since our last post, so I will attempt to summary of the past 7 weeks!!

BUDAPEST

We had very amazing time in Budapest. The festival was outside, on a shopping mall roof terrace! It was a great venue for a festival and a good 3000 people came out the night we played. We had a few tech issues on the day, Mike's nord had been de-tuned a semi tone or something!! Bad news, Johnny pulled his lead out of his bass about 4 times and all in all it was a challenge. As for me ( tim ) I had an amazing time and loved every minute, as did Mike the drummer.

We preached the gospel hard and fast with about 200+ people responding to the call to salvation....AMAZING to see so many hands go up...Thank You God.

We traveled way south to the Croatian border the next day and played in a wee place called Pecs, where we had a great gig, more people saved that night and then drove straight back to Budapest, back to the hotel for a few hours kip, then to the airport 4 hours later and fly home. I lost my guitar pedals in Budapest airport and my guitar case also got badly smashed up...normal!

Frenzy / Faroe Islands

So, we enjoyed 3 days at home, then on Friday morning at about 4am we left for Edinburgh Private airfield where we met up with Jeremy Camp and his band and flew out to the Faroe Islands on....wait for it.....a private jet : )  I know, it's not very Superhero, but hey, it was a lot nicer than ryanair that is for sure!

So we met the pilot in the waiting area, boarded the plane with no real passport control stuff, just walked out onto the strip and got on the plane, so weird for us, we fly so often ( about 25 times a year ) and its always the same old same old.....but not today  : )

We had our own little stewardess and it was very cool. We arrived at about 12 noon and were taken in a bus for a look around the Islands, amazing amazing amazing!

Then to the festival venue, food, soundcheck, mucking about, setting up the merch, saying hi to friends we got to know the first time we played this festival and a wee sleep in the green room.

The gig was great, we played before JC and it was great crowd...again, more people, about 12 responded to the gospel. JC and band were great, and also, they were great people to hang out with.

We finished the concert at about 11pm and had a mad rush for merch, which was great, as we had to leave for the airport at 12 midnight to get back for FRENZY the next day.

Ok, thats enough for now....next time i'll tell you all about the flight home, Frenzy  etc etc.....
