Estonia Mission - Blog 2

Yesterday was an amazing day. We had the opportunity to play and witness in places where christians have previously never been able to make a stand. This is God opening doors and we are gladly walking through them.

After a day of gigs in the local High School many young people came out to the local youth centre/skatepark last night where there has never been any christian message preached before and they heard the gospel message preached and all took home a bible. We even saw kids reading it outside the venue!

Today ( thursday ) we were in another school here in Voru. Again, a door opened. The school Direktor loved the team so much he extended the lunch hour to let us play more and afterwards insisted we come back to the school next time we are in town.....we agreed this would be good  ; )

So tonight we play again in a different part of town here in Voru and we are expecting another good turn out of local youth who will get crazy, mosh about a bit and then get to hear the life changing message of Jesus redeemer and king....get in.

We have been invited back to play at a small festival here in June 2014 which we will do and we are allowed to give out bibles to the 500 people who will be there.....amazing.

Thanks for all your prayers and support amazing people this is turning into a bit of an epic trip.

So we have arrived back in Estonia for another 8 days of mission to students and giving out more bibles.

It was so great to see our friends meet us at the airport and we spent a lot of the journey from airport to Tallinn talking about how amazing the last 3 years have been and how God has taken us on a pretty unexpected but beautiful journey. We had no idea where we were going when we started, no idea how to get there or what God had in store for us but it is great looking back on the journey so far and so exciting looking forward and thinking about what lies ahead.

Day 1 was taken up with production meetings and team meetings which went well, food and much needed sleep followed.

Day 2 we headed south to Valga which is at the very southern tip of the country and we were about 1k from the Latvian border. We were returning to a church with an American youth pastor, Chris, it was great to see him and his wife again. The event was great, lots of young people from the town came along, they heard the gospel message and all took away a bible. Also a young girl who had been along to the church in the past but not for a long time spoke to Laura, Chris's wife and said, "Ok, I am ready to follow Jesus". Amazing stuff, one more young life changed forever. The church were excited and so were we, a great start.

I am writing this blog as we travel to the next town Voru, it was an early start and I am particularly excited because we are returning to the town where we did our first ever mission event in Estonia 3 years ago! Even as I write it seems amazing that so much time has passed. I am reminded of how important it is for us to just be obedient and follow God's leading in our lives. None of what we are doing made any sense, especially in the early years, but God knew and we just followed and now it is all clear, we have seen so many come to Christ, we have a brand new youth bible an amazing team of people and so many plans for the future.

So, be obedient, follow God's lead, don't be discouraged, persevere and be blessed.

Ok, I'm started to feel sick now so will stop writing  ; )

2013 in PREVIEW

This is going to be a busy year.

Here is our year ahead in Preview:

1. 2 new releases planned.

2. Launching a Youth Bible in Estonia that we have been developing with the Estonian Bible Society for 11 months now.

3. Launch the 'Truth Tour' in Estonia in connection with the youth bible launch and start touring the nation giving out bibles to students. We aim to give away 150,000 bibles over the next 3 years. ( let me know if you want to help ).

4. Making our first trip to Russia to visit 4 cities including Moscow where we will be playing and giving out thousands of bibles to students.

5. We will play another 30 dates and reach the '200' date mark on our 'Battle for your Soul' Tour. Reaching over 50,000 young people with the gospel and seeing well over 1000 responding to the gospel and many others challenged by the message.

6. We will launch our own UK Youth Bible which we will begin giving out at our UK 'Battle for your Soul' events. We want every young person in the UK to be offered the chance to own a bible. ( need your help on this one also ).

7. Release our second Music Video from our new record.

8. We will play at 3 or 4 major UK festivals to help us raise awareness of the mission work we are involved in around the world.

9. Continue to work in partnership with Compassion and see many more children released from poverty.

10. We may play a few regular gigs! If we have time......but it's highly unlikely ; )

Finally.......we will, at some point in the year, be launching a new project, our biggest yet and we are stoked about it and know you will be too.....can't wait to let you all in on it real soon.

Good day today in Tartu, big turn out for the lunch time gig and now in coffee shop in the old town for a team meeting and beginning to dream up mission into Russia next year with Mr Anthony Jessop.

Excited at the doors that are starting to open. We are determined to do this right, not going to rush it. Looks like I will come over in a few months and meet together with some Estonian and Russian pastors to see if there is any way that we can serve them in reaching out to students in the areas that they live.

Please pray that God would give us wisdom to find the right people and do the right thing that will reach the most.

We are planning another mission to schools in October for Tallinn and will be back in Tallinn again this May for a big festival in Freedom square and 3 other outreach gigs. This is a great opportunity to preach the gospel in the main square in the capital.

Ok people continue to pray that God would lead us help us this week as we continue to reach out to the students here in Tartu.

First day, first school, rammed, lots of fun  ; )

So day 1 draws to a close. As usual have had no sleep since 7am Friday morning and it is now 10.45pm on Sunday!! I need to be up at 5.30am to travel to first location. We will play 2 gigs in a High school during the day then again at a small festival in the evening. We will finish at about 10pm, pack down and travel 3 hours south to Tartu. Hope my voice holds up!! Vocal Zones and Sandersons........and of course, Berocca ; )

So we are back in Estonia for 8 days. We will be touring, playing many gigs, meeting many students and sharing our faith with them. This is our second tour in Estonia and we will back again in May for a big festival in Freedom Square. Would appreciate some prayer support, 15 gigs in 8 days, shooting a video and planning for a mission to Russia it's a pretty full on time for us.

Today we are having a production day just outside Tallinn.
